As of late, we’ve been reporting on the detrimental effects of plastics on our environment. This year Earth Day 2018 was focused on the problem of plastics within our oceans. We’ve interviewed many companies and people who are looking for alternatives when it comes to plastics. Lot of good stuff out there.

Today, we hit this subject head on with expert and guest, Kit O’Connell, Writer. Kit’s story, “Hemp Makes Great Plastic So Why Isn’t Hemp Plastic Everywhere” intrigued us and led us to bring him on the show.

We are so glad we did. Here Kit touches on every aspect of why Hemp is a good substitute for fossil-fuel made plastic…why the plant is banned in US; why it is a great potential revenue stream for US farmers; most importantly, why this change is good for consumers and the environment.
